Agreed! Never seen so much volunteerism. Giant chips on shoulder aside, the reason housing is getting expensive is this thing called supply and demand. So if you own a home, plan on making money when you sell it. If you need to rent, you will find better values nearby in the county. PT is extremely walkable, historic and charming.

Why do you say that? Explain? How might Port Townsend be different from Port Angeles?

Absolutely incorrect! If you are wealthy, feeling very superior, impressed with your own philosophy, in love with every word that leaves your mouth, and look down on anyone who does not fit your privilaged, snobby and not-progressive view of the world; if you’re at least 60-yrs-old with a huge expensive house, no need to work, totally out of touch with the rest of the non-wealthy world, then yes, you will find most of the town to be exactly like you and you’ll make friends. By far some of the rudest, most superior-feeling, snobby bunch of white people you’ll meet anywhere. And yes, they will vomit out their philosophy and political views at any and every opportunity, holding up lines in grocery stores, making errands torture. Can you please stop talking so I can pay and leave the store? The worst of Seattle, California, etc. land here with their money and terrible attitudes. Service workers who keep the cute little boutiques and restaurants going, “the servants” in the eyes of port Townsend, can’t even afford to live in town. Pretty town completely ruined by nasty nasty, did I say nasty? citizens and insane rents. And you thought the weather was miserable! Stay for a weekend as a tourist and never look back!
